ASML is a world leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. The company offers an integrated portfolio for manufacturing complex integrated circuits. ASML systems - called steppers and Step & Scan tools (scanners) respectively - use a photographic process to image nanometric circuit patterns onto a silicon wafer. ASML researches, develops, designs, manufactures, markets and services lithography systems used by the semiconductor industry to fabricate state-of-the-art chips.

Embedded Software Developer (multiple job openings)

Within ASML, the Sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Embedded Software Development (ESD) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines. ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from ESD are facing several aspects of nature like gas, fluids, optics, mechatronics and more at the highest speed and accuracy. A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.

Position in the Organization
The embedded software developer will be part of one of the software groups that are responsible for the software of one of the functional modules of a lithographic tool. Each group has the responsibility to participate in making the ASML machines a success, which in ASML terms means to be the world leader.

Job Mission
In close co-operation with colleagues from software and other disciplines (mechatronics, optics, electronics) the software engineer is a member of a multi-disciplinary team. In these teams software plays an important role for the success of ASML. Since software is an integrating competency, it is an essential added value for ASML.

Requirements
- Educational Master or PhD level with 0 to 5 years of working experience in embedded software.
- Education in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Informatics, Mechatronics, Math Engineering or comparable.
- Experience: We are looking for engineers with 0 to 3 years of experience. Key competencies at the software department are Unix/Linux, C, C++, UML, real time, scripting, VxWorks.
- Pro-active, decisive, takes ownership
- Strong communicator with a pragmatic attitude.
- Real team player with quality orientation.
- Good knowledge of English.

What do we offer:
- Salary from 2300 up to 3000 euro gross/month.
- A contract for at least 2 years (with possibility to permanent job).
- Good primary and secondary terms of employment (for example 24 days paid holiday and 8% allowance).
- Xelvin will help you with finding appropriate housing.
- Xelvin will arrange all necessary work Permits, social security number, registration city council.
- Facilitating 30 % ruling (Tax-benefit for foreign employee)
